The homosexuals are having a hard time dealing with the "new America" that emerged after September 11, 2001. This new America is really the "old America" -- the America of our history, at least with respect to homosexuality. Perhaps several decades from now, with the perspective of history, America in the post-Vietnam period leading up to the 21st century will appear, in many respects, as an apparition. Perhaps this period will be viewed as one of prosperity, for the most part, but interspersed with some brief economic downturns, and with the first half still clouded by the Cold War, but then followed by (after the fall of the Berlin Wall) a second half of imaged coming world peace. During this second half, much of the western world thought, "if we try, we can achieve a world of perfect harmony, peace, prosperity, and all things wonderful." Perhaps history will show that this was simply a naïve misunderstanding of reality. This period will no doubt be remembered as a demonstration of America at its best with respect to human rights. Domestically, America strived to achieve freedom for all Americans, after a similar 19th-century effort subsequently stalled in the 20th century with respect to former slaves; appropriate emphasis was placed on the founding principle that all people are created equal. But, even as America was striving to recognize the equality of all humans, aberrant concepts crept into the mix. Tagging onto the effort to support Americans of minority races, came the homosexual movement. Obviously, the homosexual movement bore no commonality with the civil rights movement, so how did the homosexual advocates brainwash America into believing that the two were somehow related? The misunderstanding of the phenomenon of the homosexual movement was this belief that it was part and parcel of the civil rights movement, but it wasn't. Rather, the homosexual movement was inextricably linked with the stripping of the Judeo-Christian foundation of America. As America moved away from God, a void was opened, and this void was filled with a plethora of sinful behavior, and one such sin was sexual immorality, with one subset being homosexual behavior. Perhaps history will show that this post-Vietnam era leading up to the 21st century was a period of time when America was "fat and sassy." A time when America could reflect on its success of making great strides by solving (at least in perception) so many problems of its past. America apparently was free from any visible threat from without, and so, America turned its focus inward. But, there weren't enough hugely serious concerns within America, and so America "created" new issues to resolve. An example of such was the homosexual movement. However, as America moves into the 21st century, after September 11, 2001, reality has now struck home. America is facing real problems. And so, those "created" issues are being set aside. For example, large numbers of visible cheerleaders of the homosexual movement have abandoned the "cause," as they now focus on real concerns. The homosexuals no doubt thought that all of their cheerleaders truly cared about their sexual immorality cause, but those cheerleaders were only by the homosexuals' side because there was no better "game" in town at which to cheer. Now, the homosexuals find themselves with a vastly smaller group of advocates. The homosexuals find themselves being left out of the limelight. Their "cause" is no longer a focus in America. The fifteen minutes of fame for the homosexuals may now be at a close. |
