Sure, americans are against arbitrary discrimination of anyone for any reason.  However, the american public is NOT going to jump in line behind homosexual advocates who want to take the rights away from millions of average american families who want their children to have scouting opportunities and be free from sexualization.

These homosexual advocates (which includes at least one writer at the New York Times--see article below), just don't understand the vast majority of the american public.  These advocates don't understand that campaigning against the Boy Scouts of America will prove to be their downfall.  It is so clear that the next target will be institutions such as churches, temples, and mosques--you must hire homosexual spiritual leaders, you must condone homosexual behavior, you can't restrict membership to people of your single faith, etc. etc.  The american public is much smarter than these advocates employed by the mass media obviously believe.  These journalists apparently think that they can write articles claiming that parents all across the nation are rising up against the Boy Scouts, and then the parents reading the article will think, "Oh my, I guess my values are outdated; Billy, you can no longer be a Boy Scout unless your troop allows homosexuals to sexualize you and your friends."   Ya, right!
