Subject: UMW 2002 meeting-Ms. Lundblad

For those who may be interested, here is a reminder of what the UMW is up to (again) as they continue on in their deadly heretical ways. Barbara Lundblad has been tapped to be a plenary speaker at this convocation in Philadelphia....The last time you may have read about Ms Lundblad was probably at the '93 Re-Imagining Conference where Christ was denigrated and the goddesses were worshipped in Neo-pagan (wiccan) ceremony.

Here is an eye-witness report...a memory refresher, if you will,.... so that we may again marvel at the"thealogy" that our tithes and offerings to the UMC are supporting even still....("Who has bewitched you.....?)

Our bishops certainly have made progress in holding the line of accountability within certain church divisions........

Subject: [cmdiscuss] UMW plenary speaker 2002

A few years ago our little congregation voted to withhold certain apportionment funds that were to be distributed to certain UM agencies that are boldly apostate, heretical and destructive. We redirected those funds to local missions work instead. I understand that our new DS is.... (ahem)...."encouraging" us to reconsider and instead send the money in to the bureaucratic coffers where the tithes and offerings will do the most good....like:

Helping to fund and support the work of the national UMW which has just recently announced that they have invited Barbara Lunblad to be a plenary speaker at their upcoming UMW Assembly (Philadelphia, April 2002). Some of you may remember Ms. Lunblad as one of the infamous speakers at the 1993 Re-Imagining (Wiccan) Conference....Ms. Lunblad is the one who boasted at that meeting (which glorified the names of 32 different "goddesses" from Ochun to Diana):

"We did not last night name the name of Jesus. Nor have we done anything in the name of the Father, and the Son and of the Holy Spirit (laughter and cheers). Ms. Lunblad also went on to advocate for the acceptance of deviant fornication (lesbian practice) and referred to Jesus as the "child of Sophia" and to God as "Sophia". (paraphrased information from RENEW Newsletter)

It's certainly reassuring to know how diligent and successful those in the upper echelons of bureaucratic Methodism have been these past 7 or 8 years in defending the faith in responsible stewardship........

Dear Lord, forgive us... Tom
