Subject: Send the Bishops' Letter Back

Dear Friends,

By now, you have probably received a copy of the "pastoral letter" from our Council of Bishops along with a cover letter from C.O.B. president Robert Morgan. The bishops are asking us to read this letter to our congregations. However, were I to do so, many in my congregation would interpret it as an epsicopal endorsement of the destructive homosexual agenda. Therefore, I will not be taking up time during Sunday morning worship to read the letter.

Instead, I have decided to send my copy of the letter back to Bishop Morgan. I invite you to join with me in this endeavor. This is a simple, but powerful, way to express our disappointment with the Council of Bishops. Send your copy of the letter back to Bishop Morgan along with a brief but cordial note expressing your concerns. You may also want to write to your own bishop about this matter.

I will be mailing my correspondence on Monday, December 6. I hope you will join with me in sending a message to the Council of Bishops that we, as pastors, are profoundly disappointed with their weak and ineffectual leadership.

Yours in Christ,
