UM Demands Response For Anti-Boy Scout Stand Of Agency Leader

Dear Mr. Fassett:

How did you arrive at the conclusion that we should not support the Boy Scouts of America for their stance against homosexuality? It is one thing to work for acceptance of this, if this is your belief, but it is quite another to advocate something that our Discipline clearly forbids, scripture forbids, and is illegal in most states. It's bad enough to advocate partial birth abortion, but this "takes the cake!". Thank God for the United Methodist Men!

In my humble opinion, you are not advancing the kingdom of God, United Methodism, or good common sense to take such an outlandish stance on these issues. If those of your particular viewpoint keep using the United Methodist Church as a soap-box for your heretical views, sooner of later your soap-box will collapse under you, and with just cause. Because of such rhetoric, the United Methodist Church is slowly bleeding to death. I elicit a response on this crucial issue.
