  • Marietta FUMC SPRC Unanimously voted to reappoint Charles Sineath;

  • 80-90% of the congregation present, voted at Charge Conference to continue to redirect approx 25% of the apportionment amount (to other approved UMC Agencies);

  • the Bishop initially announced that we had at least one more year, then changed his mind.

  • Now he [Bishop Lindsey Davis] says that this reappointment is a rountine move and not linked to any dispute with our church.

This is a prime opportunity for renewal groups and those of like minds to step up and speak out against the organization that no longer listens to the desires, wishes, and dreams of the laity. This is a perfect opportunity for renewal organizations and those of like minds to step up in support of a Christian brother that has laid it all on the line for the sake of the Gospel.

If you would like to communicate with me you may do so at the email address this was sent from. Please pray with us for renewal and revival to spark within our denomination, that God would reign supreme once more, that the name of Jesus would be the name above all names, that scriptural authority would once again be recognized, and that brothers and sisters would be uplifted, encouraged, and covered in prayer as they diligently contend for the faith.

In His Service,

Ellen Beebe - Laity, Marietta FUMC
