Strong Arm Tactics Of "Scorched Earth" Church Policy Drives Other Pastor To Another DenominationFrom: HKimbrough@aol.com <HKimbrough@aol.com> With a saddened heart I read about the tribulations and unjust persecution of yet another faithful Methodist minister in the California-Nevada Annual Conference. With this latest violation of the Book of Discipline, not to mention the unnecessarily rough treatment of Rev Lemos et al. the Bishop and his advisors have made it clear they are determined to rid this Annual Conference of those who would disagree with them. In fact, this action is a clear demonstration that Bishop Talbert still believes that accountability within the Annual Conference takes precedence over accountability to the General Conference. If there was any doubt the California-Nevada Annual Conference intends to continue operating outside the boundaries which define the United Methodist Church then this should serve as yet another powerful example of that truth. Hollis Kimbrough From: mwhitehu <mwhitehu@tsixroads.com> Now we see the sheep's skin of love, openness, and acceptance removed from the back of our apostate bishop and underneath we see the wolf exposed. When and how will we (clergy and laity) rise up and take OUR CHURCH back from these wolves in sheep's clothing who care nothing for the Body of Christ, the Word of God, or the Building of the Kingdom. May the Holy Spirit come among us and remove this sin of blasphemers from our midst so that we can continue with the task of spreading Scriptural, Spiritual Holiness through out the land.
