"They don't care if we loose members, in fact, I think that is what they want."

Episcopal Leadership? by Ira Gallaway

I would like to know what the "real" objective of some of our leaders are. We see actions, statements and appointments that just do not make sense from the standpoint of building up the church. It seems like they want the people to leave the church. Many of the real Methodist have already left.

I am a fifth generation Methodist in the United Methodist Church and have been treated as a step child. They did everything they could to cause me to leave. I sometimes think that there are those who want to drive all the evangelicals out so that they can take possession of the assets to promote their social-political objectives.

They don't care if we loose members, in fact, I think that is what they want.

Editor's note:

Dwaine,

When the faithful Methodist Christians leave, the remaining faithful become the minority. Thus leaving the new unfaithful "majority" in positions of power and influence over the gifts of the previously faithful.
