UM Bishops Signs Interfaith Document Legitimizing Anything Goes Sex Regardless of Age, Marital Status, Or OrientationFrom: Eddie G. Rhodes sea7@juno.com Dear John, I do not know you or where you stand theologically or if you support the Discipline of the UMC. I will give you my two cents for whatever it is worth anymore in our theologically and politically correct climate. I feel I am in the minority. If it were not for the local church I would walk away from the UMC. We are in serious trouble and every week 900 UM members vote with there feet. I am a United Methodist pastor bound in covenant with a long history of ordained elders who at their ordination answered questions in the affirmative before the bishop, other elders, and the gathered congregation: Paragraph 327 "Do you now the General Rules of our Church? Will you keep them? Have you studied the doctrines of The United Methodist Church? After full examination, do you believe that our doctrines are in harmony with the Holy Scriptures? Will you preach and maintain them? Have you studied our form of Church discipline and polity? Do you approve our Church government and polity? Will you support and maintain them?" I guess the Rev. Dr. Roy I. Sano, Bishop has forgotten these or disagrees with them now. The only honorable thing Bishop Sano can do is resign, for it is apparent to anyone who can read the Discipline of the United Methodist Church he is in direct conflict with them by signing the SIECUS document. Yet, like a typically liberal theologian, public statements are everything and personal morals mean nothing. In Christ,
