From: DAVID FORD <FORDS@integrityonline18.com>
To Whom it may concern,
I was disheartened to learn that the Bishop who preached the ordination sermon when I was ordained an elder in the Virginia Annual Conference has now come out in support of same sex unions. In so doing he has shown his position. To take such a stance flys in the face of the Holy Catholic and Apostolic faith. To take such a position is to separate from the faith once delivered to the saints. Not to mention that his view of the authority of scripture is plain to see.
This causes me emotional pain to have to take this stand with someone who was present at one of the high points of my life, but there is too much at stake to allow sentimentality to hinder guarding the faith that Bishops are supposed to guard and teach! Lord help us in this hour!
Grace and peace,
Rev. David V. Ford

I fully agree with Mr. Gibson. I was raised in the United Methodist Church. I am ashamed of the stand taken by so many misdirected Bishops, former Bishops, and clergy. We must base our decisions on the truths found nowhere but in The Word of our God. Mr. Tuell needs to be reminded of our God's unequivocal position on this issue.
