I fear that Mr. Lauffer is correct in writing that "the Methodist denomination is on its way to hell" because we don't have people like Gibson, Fergusson, Browning, Mynderups who will stand up and say "THAT IS WRONG" -- anything goes in the Methodist Church anymore -- pre-marital sex, living together as singles, foul language, men wearing hats inside the church, everything must be FUN, FUN, FUN! The Methodist Church as we have known it (I'm 73) no longer exists and I am afraid it never again will -- "it's on its way to hell". Marian Meredith

By writing this letter and affixing his signature to it, "Mr." Jack Tuell has disqualified himself from the episcopacy.  He ought not any longer be considered a bishop in The United Methodist Church or addressed as such.

Notice absolutely no reference to God's commands in Scripture. Even innocents suffer when we ignore God's word. Trying to ameliorate suffering by ignoring truth will lead to more suffering.

I note the constant push to legitematize homosexuality and it's lifestyle. Won't these bishops ever learn that this lifestyle is destructive and often deadly. How come helping people manage and overcome it is ignored. How about the politics surrounding this issue? Why is it after rejecting the homosexual lifestyle as a denomination and the fact that it is in The Methodist Discipline it is constantly challenged. I guess all we have to do is have dialogues with homosexuals and this "problem" will somehow be solved. I also guess we have to "loosen up" and forget standards.

Friends,

Gee, I guess my 26 years are just so much chopped liver. This denomination is on its way to hell.

Dan Lauffer

What else could we expect from a bishop selected by Bishop Sprague to preside over the Dell trial. If you don't select a person sympathetic to the homosexual cause, how can you get the result you want? Does it surprise anyone that Bishop Tuell thinks this way?
