Evangelical UMs Raise Funds To Make Case at GC2000 To Separate From Disobedient Cal/Nev

Subject: Report on Western Missionary Conference

A praise -- we have raised over $5,000 in the California-Nevada conference, enough to send our team to the General Conference meeting in Cleveland, May 2-12. We praise the Lord for our successful fund raising. The amount from faithful UM's is a statement to General Conference of the importance with which this effort is regarded. Please keep in prayer:

I will be working with Good News in the area of homosexuality along with others from Transforming Congregations. If you are in Cleveland, Good News will have a hospitality center in the Marriott and the Western Team will be working with Good News. Come by and see us. Our Missionary Conference petition has been assigned to General and Judicial Administration so most of our people will be observing that committee.
