News of two more UMC pastors in Cal-Nev leaving the UMC. Peter is the former Associate Pastor of Yuba City First UMC.

Transferring to the Mennonite Brethren Church will be Ray O'Neal, currently pastor of Selma First UMC. I am grateful for God in answering Ray's prayer as he has been actively seeking exit for about a year.

Greg Smith in Sacramento reports:

"The new congregation, Valley Grace Community Church, has had two worship services at Valley High School with over 300 in attendance at both worship services. I estimate that at least 80% of Hope Church has gone with us. I'm happy to report as well that the services at Valley Grace Community Church have been filled with great joy and tremendous commitment to ministry on the part of all."

Hi my dear brothers,

Thought I would let you know that I am now one of you. I turned in my elders orders today. God finally released me from the UMC and I can say there is a weight that has been lifted off my shoulders. I feel kind of like Abraham must have felt when God said "Go and I'll let you know when you get to where I'm sending you."

You are all in my prayers especially you Kyle, John, Greg and Dave. You are still in the midst of the battles.

God bless you all.
