Dr. Marcus Borg is showing up in United Methodist circles again. He has been invited to speak as part of the upcoming Desert Southwest Annual Conference Pastor's School. Borg is also speaking at three of the churches in the conference. All of the churches in the conference were sent the attached press release and bulletin insert.

Dr. Marcus J. Borg is Hundere Distinguished Professor of Religion and Culture in the Philosophy Department at Oregon State University. A Fellow of the Jesus Seminar, Dr. Borg is nationally and internationally known in both academic and church circles as a Jesus scholar. He is the author of ten books, including the best-selling Meeting Jesus Again for the First Time (1994) -- the single best-selling book by a contemporary Jesus scholar.
